C61 – DIPLOMA IN BUILDING ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY
COURSE INTRODUCTION
This program offers theoretical and practical training in the field of Building Engineering Technology. Students have the opportunity to perform practical training in building construction individually or in groups under the guidance of trained instructors with extensive experience in the building industry. Learning and practical training cover concrete work, brickwork, formwork, reinforcement, finishing, drainage system construction, surveying work, and building material testing, alongside relevant theory. The program is designed to provide students with the skills to work in building design and construction. Additionally, students are exposed to elements of entrepreneurship.

SPM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
PASS SPM or equivalent with three (3) Credits in the following subjects:
- Mathematics
- Any one (1) subject from the Science Group / Vocational & Technology Group / Vocational Subjects Group (MPV) / Vocational Stream Subjects Group (MPAV)
- Any one (1) other subject
- PASS English
STPM GRADUATES
- PASS STPM with at least Grade C (GP 2.0) in any one (1) subject
STAM GRADUATES
- PASS STAM with a minimum rank of Maqbul
OTHER ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
GRADUATES OF MARA SKILLS INSTITUTES (IKM) / PUBLIC OR PRIVATE SKILLS TRAINING INSTITUTES (ILKA/ILKS)
- PASS Certificate in Engineering / Engineering Technology / Profession / Technology in a related field with a CGPA ≥ 2.50
- OR PASS Certificate in Engineering / Engineering Technology / Profession / Technology in a related field with 2.0 ≤ CGPA < 2.50 and at least 6 months of work experience in a related field
MALAYSIAN SKILLS CERTIFICATE (SKM) GRADUATES
- PASS Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 3 in a recognized related field or equivalent
MALAYSIAN VOCATIONAL CERTIFICATE (SVM) GRADUATES
- Academic Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.33 or higher
- Credit in Bahasa Melayu (SVM Code 1104)
- Vocational CGPA of 3.67 or higher
- Competent in all vocational modules
