The Sabah Government has pledged full support for the Malaysia Education Plan 2026–2035, focusing on bridging the regional gap through improved digital infrastructure and teacher welfare. State Minister Datuk James Ratib emphasized that the plan is vital for addressing Sabah’s unique challenges, such as dilapidated rural schools, while strengthening TVET and STEM education to prepare students for future industries.

Program TVET kini menjadi pilihan utama pelajar berikutan pengenalan silibus “High TVET” yang diselaraskan dengan keperluan industri moden seperti kecerdasan buatan (AI) dan kenderaan elektrik. Timbalan Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, menyatakan bahawa pendekatan ini memastikan graduan memenuhi permintaan pasaran kerja semasa berbanding bergantung kepada silibus lama.
