COURSE INTRODUCTION

This program is a comprehensive learning in the field of plant maintenance with exposure to knowledge of engineering principles and emphasis on practical in line with industry needs that require skilled and semi-skilled workers in critical areas such as maintenance knowledge. Students will have the opportunity to gain practical knowledge and training, in accordance with current job requirements and needs. The learning process also includes an understanding of the elements of herbal processing, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements in addition to equipment maintenance that can meet the needs of individuals, the environment and the industry, in addition to ensuring brighter job opportunities.

SPM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

• Pass SPM or equivalent with at least three (3) Credits in the following subjects:
  1. Mathematics
  2. One (1) subject from the Science / Vocational & Technology / Vocational Subjects (MPV) / Vocational Stream Subjects (MPAV) groups
  3. One (1) other subject
  4. Pass in English

STPM GRADUATES

• Pass with at least Grade C (GP 2.0) in any one (1) subject

STAM GRADUATES

• Pass with a minimum rank of Maqbul

OTHER ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

• GRADUATES OF MARA SKILLS INSTITUTES (IKM) / PUBLIC OR PRIVATE SKILLS TRAINING INSTITUTES (ILKA/ILKS)
  1. Pass Certificate in Engineering / Engineering Technology / Profession / Technology in a related field with CGPA ≥ 2.50
  2. OR Pass with 2.0 ≤ CGPA < 2.50 and at least 6 months of work experience in a related field
• MALAYSIAN SKILLS CERTIFICATE (SKM) GRADUATES
  1. Pass SKM Level 3 in a recognized related field or equivalent
• MALAYSIAN VOCATIONAL CERTIFICATE (SVM) GRADUATES
  1. Academic Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) ≥ 3.33
  2. Credit in Bahasa Melayu (SVM Code 1104)
  3. Vocational CGPA ≥ 3.67
  4. Competent in all vocational modules
