COURSE INTRODUCTION

This program is designed to produce a knowledgeable and efficient workforce in Four-Wheel Drive (4WD) automotive technology. Graduates will possess technical skills to support engineers and other professionals involved in the development, manufacturing, operational testing, inspection, and maintenance of 4WD automotive systems. Students are exposed to relevant knowledge, as well as practical and technical skills in diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading/modifying standard four-wheel drive vehicles for off-road use. Competent leadership qualities and professionalism are also emphasized. Students are encouraged to adopt a lifelong learning attitude in line with the latest changes in commercial automotive technology. Additionally, students will be exposed to elements of entrepreneurship and are encouraged to become technical entrepreneurs upon graduation.

• PASS SPM with two (2) Credits in any subject

• GRADUATES OF MARA SKILLS INSTITUTES (IKM) / PUBLIC OR PRIVATE SKILLS TRAINING INSTITUTES (ILKA/ILKS)

  1. PASS Certificate in Engineering / Engineering Technology / Technology in a related field with a CGPA ≥ 2.00

• MALAYSIAN SKILLS CERTIFICATE (SKM) GRADUATES

  1. PASS Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 2 in a recognized related field or equivalent

• MALAYSIAN VOCATIONAL CERTIFICATE (SVM) GRADUATES

  1. Academic Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.00 or higher
  2. Credit in Bahasa Melayu (SVM Code 1104)
  3. Vocational CGPA of 2.67 or higher
  4. Competent in all vocational modules
