COURSE INTRODUCTION

This program is designed to produce a knowledgeable and efficient workforce in Heavy Machinery Automotive technology. Graduates will possess the technical skills required to support engineers and other professionals involved in the development, manufacturing, operational testing, inspection, and maintenance of heavy machinery automotive systems. Students are exposed to relevant knowledge, as well as practical and technical skills in diagnosing, repairing, and analyzing heavy machinery systems. Competent leadership qualities and professionalism are emphasized throughout the duration of study. Students will also be instilled with a lifelong learning mindset to keep pace with the latest changes in automotive technology. Additionally, students will be exposed to elements of entrepreneurship and are encouraged to become technical entrepreneurs upon graduation.

SPM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

• PASS SPM or equivalent with three (3) Credits in any subject

• PASS English and Mathematics

STPM GRADUATES

• PASS STPM with at least Grade C (GP 2.0) in any one (1) subject

STAM GRADUATES

• PASS STAM with a minimum rank of Maqbul

OTHER ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

• GRADUATES OF MARA SKILLS INSTITUTES (IKM) / PUBLIC OR PRIVATE SKILLS TRAINING INSTITUTES (ILKA/ILKS)

  1. PASS Certificate in Engineering / Engineering Technology / Profession / Technology in a related field with a CGPA ≥ 2.50
  2. OR PASS Certificate in Engineering / Engineering Technology / Profession / Technology in a related field with 2.0 ≤ CGPA < 2.50 and at least 6 months of work experience in a related field

• MALAYSIAN SKILLS CERTIFICATE (SKM) GRADUATES

  1. PASS Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 3 in a recognized related field or equivalent

• MALAYSIAN VOCATIONAL CERTIFICATE (SVM) GRADUATES

  1. Academic Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.33 or higher
  2. Credit in Bahasa Melayu (SVM Code 1104)
  3. Vocational CGPA of 3.67 or higher
  4. Competent in all vocational modules

• ACCREDITATION OF PRIOR EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING (APEL (A))
