COURSE INTRODUCTION

This programme has been recognised by the Energy Commission. Students who successfully complete the training will be awarded a Diploma in Electrical Competence (Low Voltage Machinery Caretaker A4) and are eligible to sit for the Low Voltage Machinery Caretaker Competence examination with A4 restriction by the Energy Commission. This programme offers theoretical and practical learning and training. Learning and training covers supervision and control work, repair and maintenance of electrical machines as well as control and synchronisation work of low voltage power generators.

GRADUATES OF MARA SKILLS INSTITUTES (IKM) / PUBLIC OR PRIVATE SKILLS TRAINING INSTITUTES (ILKA/ILKS)

• Pass Certificate in Engineering / Engineering Technology / Technology in a related field with a CGPA ≥ 2.00
• OR A graduate of the Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology (Power) / Diploma in Electrical Competency (Chargeman A1) from IKM/KKTM
• Must possess an Electrical Chargeman A1 Competency Certificate
• Must not be color blind
• Must be at least 18 years old
