COURSE INTRODUCTION

This program involves a combination of several fields that provide students with knowledge related to wireless radio frequency technology, semiconductors, electricity, electronic devices, control systems and instrumentation, automation, mechanical, manufacturing processes and project management. These are some of the fields required for the electronics industry.

SPM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

• Pass SPM or equivalent with at least three (3) Credits in the following subjects:
  1. Mathematics
  2. One (1) subject from the Science / Vocational & Technology / Vocational Subjects (MPV) / Vocational Stream Subjects (MPAV) groups
  3. One (1) other subject
  4. Pass in English
  5. Must not be color blind

STPM GRADUATES

• Pass with at least Grade C (GP 2.0) in any one (1) subject
• Must not be color blind

STAM GRADUATES

• Pass with a minimum rank of Maqbul
• Must not be color blind

OTHER ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

• GRADUATES OF MARA SKILLS INSTITUTES (IKM) / PUBLIC OR PRIVATE SKILLS TRAINING INSTITUTES (ILKA/ILKS)
  1. Pass Certificate in Engineering / Engineering Technology / Profession / Technology in a related field with CGPA ≥ 2.50
  2. OR Pass with 2.0 ≤ CGPA < 2.50 and at least 6 months of work experience in a related field
  3. Must not be color blind
• MALAYSIAN SKILLS CERTIFICATE (SKM) GRADUATES
  1. Pass SKM Level 3 in a recognized related field or equivalent
  2. Must not be color blind
• MALAYSIAN VOCATIONAL CERTIFICATE (SVM) GRADUATES
  1. Academic Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) ≥ 3.33
  2. Credit in Bahasa Melayu (SVM Code 1104)
  3. Vocational CGPA ≥ 3.67
  4. Competent in all vocational modules
  5. Must not be color blind
