COURSE INTRODUCTION

This program is designed to produce a knowledgeable and efficient workforce in the automotive sector, capable in engineering and technical skills to support engineers and other professionals involved in the development, manufacturing, operational testing, inspection, and maintenance of automotive systems. Students are exposed to relevant knowledge, as well as practical and technical skills in diagnosing, repairing, and analyzing automotive technology systems. Competent leadership qualities and professionalism are also emphasized. Students are encouraged to adopt a lifelong learning attitude in line with the latest changes in automotive technology. Additionally, students will be exposed to elements of entrepreneurship and are encouraged to become technical entrepreneurs upon graduation.

SPM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

• PASS SPM or equivalent with three (3) Credits in the following subjects:

  1. Mathematics
  2. Any one (1) subject from the Science Group / Vocational & Technology Group / Vocational Subjects Group (MPV) / Vocational Stream Subjects Group (MPAV)
  3. Any one (1) other subject
  4. PASS English

STPM GRADUATES

• PASS STPM with at least Grade C (GP 2.0) in any one (1) subject

STAM GRADUATES

• PASS STAM with a minimum rank of Maqbul

OTHER ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

• GRADUATES OF MARA SKILLS INSTITUTES (IKM) / PUBLIC OR PRIVATE SKILLS TRAINING INSTITUTES (ILKA/ILKS)

  1. PASS Certificate in Engineering / Engineering Technology / Profession / Technology in a related field with a CGPA ≥ 2.50
  2. OR PASS Certificate in Engineering / Engineering Technology / Profession / Technology in a related field with 2.0 ≤ CGPA < 2.50 and at least 6 months of work experience in a related field

• MALAYSIAN SKILLS CERTIFICATE (SKM) GRADUATES

  1. PASS Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 3 in a recognized related field or equivalent

• MALAYSIAN VOCATIONAL CERTIFICATE (SVM) GRADUATES

  1. Academic Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.33 or higher
  2. Credit in Bahasa Melayu (SVM Code 1104)
  3. Vocational CGPA of 3.67 or higher
  4. Competent in all vocational modules
