P61 – DIPLOMA IN PLANT ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY (PIPING)
COURSE INTRODUCTION
The Plant Engineering Technology (Pipeline) program is an interactive and practical-oriented program. Students in this program will learn the basics of piping components, various codes and standards. Students also learn the basics of plant layout, pipe stress analysis, piping equipment, principles and procedures for designing plants. Practical training based on real project examples is used in this program. In addition, students are exposed to the role and responsibilities of a piping designer in implementing piping design projects. In addition, students have the opportunity to apply all their knowledge of piping design principles and standards in their final year project.

SPM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- Pass SPM or equivalent with at least three (3) Credits in the following subjects:
- Mathematics
- One (1) subject from the Science / Vocational & Technology / Vocational Subjects (MPV) / Vocational Stream Subjects (MPAV) groups
- One (1) other subject
- Pass in English
STPM GRADUATES
- Pass with at least Grade C (GP 2.0) in any one (1) subject
STAM GRADUATES
- Pass with a minimum rank of Maqbul
OTHER ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- GRADUATES OF MARA SKILLS INSTITUTES (IKM) / PUBLIC OR PRIVATE SKILLS TRAINING INSTITUTES (ILKA/ILKS)
- Pass Certificate in Engineering / Engineering Technology / Profession / Technology in a related field with CGPA ≥ 2.50
- OR Pass with 2.0 ≤ CGPA < 2.50 and at least 6 months of work experience in a related field
- MALAYSIAN SKILLS CERTIFICATE (SKM) GRADUATES
- Pass SKM Level 3 in a recognized related field or equivalent
- MALAYSIAN VOCATIONAL CERTIFICATE (SVM) GRADUATES
- Academic Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) ≥ 3.33
- Credit in Bahasa Melayu (SVM Code 1104)
- Vocational CGPA ≥ 3.67
- Competent in all vocational modules
- ACCREDITATION OF PRIOR EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING (APEL (A))
