COURSE INTRODUCTION
This program is offered at IKM Alor Setar in the Art & Design cluster as one of the techno-entrepreneur diploma programs. The stated study period is 24 months (2 years) for the “Diploma Techno-entrepreneur in Furniture Design and Production.” This program emphasizes the “Furniture Entrepreneur” approach — which is not only the technical production of furniture, but also the entrepreneurial aspects (furniture business management, marketing, products) so that students can become entrepreneurs in the furniture industry themselves. Teaching methods: the majority is practical (around 80%) and theory around 20%.

- PASS at least a Certificate in a related field from IKM/GIAT MARA or any ILKA/ILKS or IPTA/IPTS
- Pass the Aptitude Test (Physical Test), interview and practical test
OTHER ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- MALAYSIAN SKILLS CERTIFICATE (SKM) GRADUATES
- PASS Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 2 in a related field that is recognized or equivalent
- OR at least 2 years of experience in a related field
- Pass the Aptitude Test (Physical Test), interview and practical test
