COURSE INTRODUCTION

This program focuses on developing skills and knowledge in line with the fashion industry in Malaysia, in line with the need to produce creative fashion designers. Students are able to express and explore creativity and the ability to illustrate design concepts while communicating more effectively to colleagues and clients. Students will be trained to be more motivated, enthusiastic and knowledgeable, take initiative and work in a team. Students will also be exposed to the latest fashion industry scenarios covering operations, market demands and major influences in this industry. Apart from that, information about the relationship between fashion design and media promotion as well as specific market sectors including couture and ready-to-wear markets will be introduced to students.

SPM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

• Pass SPM or equivalent with at least three (3) Credits in the following subjects:
  
  1. PASS English and Mathematics
  2. PASS Interview / Portfolio Review conducted by MARA

STPM GRADUATES

• PASS STPM with at least Grade C (NGMP 2.0) in any one (1) subject
• PASS Interview / Portfolio Review conducted by MARA

STAM GRADUATES

• PASSED STAM with the rank of maqbul
• PASS Interview / Portfolio Review conducted by MARA

OTHER ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

• GRADUATES OF MARA SKILLS INSTITUTES (IKM) / PUBLIC OR PRIVATE SKILLS TRAINING INSTITUTES (ILKA/ILKS)
  
  1. PASS Certificate in Engineering / Engineering Technology / Profession / Technology, in a related field, with CGPA ≥ 2.50
  2. OR PASSED Certificate in Engineering / Engineering Technology / Profession / Technology, in a related field with 2.0 ≤ CGPA < 2.50 with at least 6 months of working experience in a related field
  3. PASS Interview / Portfolio Review conducted by MARA
• MALAYSIAN SKILLS CERTIFICATE (SKM) GRADUATES
  
  1. Pass SKM Level 3 in a recognized related field or equivalent
