As Malaysia continues to strengthen its digital economy and cultivate future-ready talent, ensuring students have access to technology-enabled learning experiences has become increasingly important. Collaboration between the public and private sectors plays a vital role in supporting this ambition by equipping schools, educators and students with the tools needed to succeed in an increasingly digital world.

Reflecting this shared commitment, Samsung Malaysia Electronics and Yayasan Didik Negara (YDN) formalised a strategic collaboration through the exchange of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 25 July 2026. Through the partnership, both organisations will work together to enhance digital learning environments and support initiatives designed to equip students and educators with the skills, tools and experiences needed to thrive in the future.

Held at SMKA Sheikh Tahir Jalaluddin here, the MoU exchange marked the beginning of a broader partnership aimed at supporting digital education initiatives and enhancing learning environments through greater access to innovative technologies and educational solutions. As part of the collaboration, Samsung announced its support through the provision of Mobile Experience (MX) devices, displays and interactive smartboards to help strengthen digital learning infrastructure.

As the official technology partner of Yayasan Didik Negara, Samsung will work closely with the foundation to develop and implement educational programmes that support students, educators and the wider education ecosystem. This effort will also be supported through Samsung for Education, Samsung’s holistic approach that brings technology together, learning solutions and educator professional development to help schools implement digital learning more effectively. Planned initiatives include smart classroom experiences, teacher digital upskilling efforts, STEM-related engagements and innovation-driven learning opportunities aimed at fostering future-ready skills among Malaysian students.

Planned activities under the collaboration may include Samsung AI Classroom showcases, STEM and AI-focused learning engagements, interactive smartboard demonstrations, and student innovation programmes that provide hands-on exposure to emerging technologies. Through Samsung for Education, this initiative will also focus on meaningful technology adoption, educator capability development and creating more engaging learning experiences for students.
