COURSE INTRODUCTION

The Diploma in Smart Manufacturing Engineering Technology is a three (3) year diploma program that produces graduates who are experts in Industry 4.0 in the manufacturing field. The Diploma in Smart Manufacturing Engineering Technology Study Program provides skills in the use of digital technology that emphasizes the convergence of manufacturing process operation technology and digital systems. In addition, the core concepts of Industry 4.0 that will be studied are such as Additive Manufacturing, Industry IOT, Extended Reality and robotics.

SPM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

• Pass SPM or equivalent with at least three (3) Credits in the following subjects:
  1. Mathematics
  2. One (1) subject from the Science / Vocational & Technology / Vocational Subjects (MPV) / Vocational Stream Subjects (MPAV) groups
  3. One (1) other subject
  4. Pass in English

STPM GRADUATES

• Pass with at least Grade C (GP 2.0) in any one (1) subject

STAM GRADUATES

• Pass with a minimum rank of Maqbul

OTHER ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

• GRADUATES OF MARA SKILLS INSTITUTES (IKM) / PUBLIC OR PRIVATE SKILLS TRAINING INSTITUTES (ILKA/ILKS)
  1. Pass Certificate in Engineering / Engineering Technology / Profession / Technology in a related field with CGPA ≥ 2.50
  2. OR Pass with 2.0 ≤ CGPA < 2.50 and at least 6 months of work experience in a related field
• MALAYSIAN SKILLS CERTIFICATE (SKM) GRADUATES
  1. Pass SKM Level 3 in a recognized related field or equivalent
• MALAYSIAN VOCATIONAL CERTIFICATE (SVM) GRADUATES
  1. Academic Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) ≥ 3.33
  2. Credit in Bahasa Melayu (SVM Code 1104)
  3. Vocational CGPA ≥ 3.67
  4. Competent in all vocational modules
