This program also exposes graduates to theory and practice through practical classes that cover design, engineering principles as well as computer-aided design (CAD) software skills such as AutoCAD Plant 3-D and Pattern Development (Plate and Sheet). Graduates who successfully complete this program will work as mechanical designers and assistant engineers in various organizations such as engineering, construction, oil and gas companies and equipment manufacturing companies. Typically, graduates are required to apply their knowledge and skills in the use of CAD software to produce designs and engineering drawings.
